when you join the server and need a mod to be installed it will first be downloaded in steam via workshop close ark wait for the download to be complete then launch ark and wait until the mod is installed because workshop only downloads some files but only ark installes them. normaly you get a timeout while conecting this is normal duo the timeout timer.
